Proverbs 19:11 “Being Wronged”
Overlook
Decide in your heart not to bring it up and forgive them. (Prov 19:11)
We must guard against the desire for revenge.
We must see that forgiveness is beautiful.
Confront
There are times we must confront in moving towards forgiveness.
We must go to the person and not gossip or slander.
Any confrontation must be motivated by the fear of God and the good of others.
Love Them
We are called by Jesus to love our enemies. (Prov 10:12)
We must be ready to do good to those who wronged us. (Prov 25:21)
And further need for justice must be left in God’s hands.
(Prov 25:22)
